I imagine either DOT 3 or 4 would work - any non-silicone brake fluid will eat the paint off your car if you spill it, and this is probably why he suggests using it to clean combustion chambers.

Hmmm. Wonder if you could use brake fluid to clean burnt food off of a frying pan. Sure do pick up a lot of good ideas reading this list.
