- My 68 GT, which has the "bad type" of oil filter, suddenly has developed a knocking sound in the engine. I used a garden hose to listen where the sound comes from, but I cannot really hear wherefrom.

- Bearing wear down to copper is unacceptable, and could indeed be the cause of your knock. (Find another advisor!) You can throw another set of bearings in (check the old ones for size) and button it

- Is it possible to replace the big end bearing without removing the engine? Is it also possible to remove the pistons and replace their bearings without pulling the engine? Mark 73 MGB GT I tend to be
