Congratulations!! Make sure the battery has water in it. How soon we forget about that with modern batterys. Also Does the red ign light work? Does it go out when running at a fast idle? If not, chec

Get a Volt meter somewhere. Radioshack sells a cheap one, so does harbor freight. Start the car and warm it up. Get the revs up to about 2000 RPM. Measure the voltage at the battery terminals first.
