I've been doing a lot of work measuring and analyzing the suspension in my TR3 race car. I've spent quite a bit of time going through the archives. I can't say that I've read every post, but I think

In front, I'm measuring to the bottom of the frame rail near the front cross member. In the rear, I'm measuring to the bottom of the frame rail just before it starts to kick up. I'm running 5.50x15 H

The frame rails slope, so it's always a little hard to derive a correct ride height. It's also hard to make good measurements to enter into suspension calculations. It's an ongoing project of mine. I

I'm not an expert on bump steer but.........AFAIK the whole steering rack should be straight in its normal rested state so that as it moves with the suspension the effective length change is very sma

If it were only that easy. Other stuff happens, for example, if you lower a car by shortening or weakening the springs then the suspension arms angle more upward (or less downward depending on how yo

The frame rails are straight until they start to kick up at the rear wheel. If they slope, then the ride height is different at front and back. That was my original question. Mine slopes up about 1

Yes, the shop manual is where I got most of my "inside the part" information. Actually the ball joint centers are shown in the drawings. I used a Xerox machine to scale up the drawing to near life si

I don't know if the frame rails were ever supposed to be parallel to the ground. On both my cheater TR3 and Peyote they slope upwards from one to two inches, front to back measured from beneath the f
