The brass syncro rings for the early type gearboxes, pre BJ8, are supposed to be made by someone in the US. The repros sold in Europe are of an inferior quality and don4t do the job well. I was told

Mark Baker of Sport & Specialty in Illinois has had syncro rings made that are of higher quality than previously available. As I understand some of the other Healey people are getting them from him.

Agree with Josef - 35,000 miles on the clock with the DW syncro rings, no Peter Hunt '62 BT7 modified for long distance driving. ATW 2000 & Route 50 double coast to coast 2002.
