Hi Lindsay, From what I have been able to determine, there is supposed to be fuel inside the sender, though it's an intimidating thought to me that fuel is in contact with the electrical switch. Leak

The TC and TD do use the same sending unit. Internal leakage is normal. There are no seals around the float pivot shaft, so fuel is free to seep into the switch area. That in and of itself is no pro
