- Steve: It depends on the type of handbrake cables your car is fitted with. Most cables I have seen do not have any provission for greasing them, and therefore is is a matter of trying to get oil down

- Old motorcyclist trick for lubing cables: Disconect the cable In one corner of a heavy duty baggie, cut a small hole just large enough to insert the cable end and a short section of the outer sheath
