Hi All, Sparky was in a parade today, well half of one anyways. She vapor locked so bad it took a hour to cool off. Has anyone ever made a heat shield for the carbs.? Would this help my vapor lock? H

A couple of tips that works for us here in Minnesnowta. (Yeah, I know it's not THAT HOT, but it works). 1) Use metal braided fuel lines. 2) Make some fiber blocks like on an MGA to insulate the carbs

Place a second fuel pump in the system, at the rear axel. This was one reason why the TF moved the pump from the firewall to the rear axel area. Your fuel lines are 5/16", so seect a pump with 5/16"

Just be careful that the pressure the pump puts out isn't over about 7 lbs. I had an airtex once for my Old MGBGT that caused a lot of flooding...I finally found out that model put out over 20#!.

Prior to restoring my TD, I never had a vapor locking problem with it. When I restored the car, I aluminized the exhaust manifold and I believe that that has caused a vapor lock problem, or it could
