All this can be quite confusing depending upon whether your timing mark pointers are on the top or the bottom of the timing chain cover. Simply refer to their position as either clockwise or counterc

I think you are interpreting the direction of rotation backwards. If the mark on the left is TDC, the other marks represent degrees of advance; i.e the 3rd mark from the left would be 10 degrees adva
