Just a quickie, Does anyone know if the hinges for a '55 TR2 should be chromed or painted. My restorer is assuring me that they should be painted - he may well be right, does anyone know? Thanks Dave

Mine (1954) are painted - I think there is something in Bill Piggot's book about when they became chrome. I can dig it out if you think yours should be chrome. Just let me know the chassis number. -

Depends on your commission number. According to Piggott, TS7229 made in July 55 was the first to have chromed hood (bonnet) hinges. Randall 59 TR3A
