It sounds like an original surrey top, although someone has put a vinyl roof on the hardtop insert (should be possible to remove). It should have a soft-top accessory that swaps with the hardtop. If

The hard top was mounted when I looked at it. I wouldn't bet on the soft top being there. The car was kind of rough, although complete. Can the soft top be purchased? -- George Richardson '57 TR3, TS

George, sounds like it is. There is also supposed to a canvas cover and frame for use on the road. That's what's called the "surrey top." Cheers. Art Kelly

If the middle section of the roof is metal, that's a good thing. If the rear section is also metal, that's better. The surrey top has a wrap-around rear window. The soft portion should still be avail
