- The head gasket can be installed incorrectly, but generally (I just looked at several early and late head gaskets), they'll still fit. The older "good ones" had a marking "this side up". The new one

- Ok great people: I've got an overheating problem. Guage ok for first fifteen minutes, in the middle. Creeps upto the red mark...in idle/street driving...highway driving drops it down to 3/4....1/4 aw

- Check the thermostat. Make sure it's the right temp for summer (165 degree for TR6's). Then test it in a pan of water to make sure it's opening at the right temp. AND opening all the way open. Bud
