Paul, I have done quite a few rebuilds over the years to various TR calipers. As I recall the piston will normally require some force to slide into the hole with a new seal. Don't forget to lubricate

I would agree it is normal. I had a heck of a time with my last rebuild .. I used 3 sets of those o-rings because the piston would catch part of the seal and tear a little piece .. any cuts or tears

My experience is that you don't use a pounding force on the piston. It is a tight fit so the piston has to keep centered in the bore. Your hands should have sufficient force to install the piston if

I followed Geo's instuctions when doing my TR250 calipers. I believe the boots are the same. You must install the boot before the piston goes in. The problem is that when you then put the piston in,
