Adrian, on a TR4 it's a good idea to install the yellow fan with the shorter TR3 fan hub assembly. That buys you the extra 1"+ needed for the fan. I guess on your TR3 you'd need to fit a TR2 fan hub

Yes, A yellow TR6 fan can be installed frontward on a TR3. I've been running one for about 2 year now. Removing the nose is, however, required - at least I figured it was, so that's how I proceeded.
