Or if you don't have any pies in the house... measure the circumference of the pulley and divide by 36 (360 degrees in a circle/10degrees) to figure out how far the 10 degree mark would be. Jim

Another method I've heard of and used is to advance the timing to where the car idles at the highest rpm, then retard it until it idles at 100rpm lower than that. ** Jim Densley 61 TR4 CT757L 69 GT6

The dwell angle should be 60 +- 3. First thing to do is to make sure that the right distributor is fitted. The ignition timing depends on type of your engine specification. In case of an 86 mm engine
