I dont know if this is the "correct" answer but I used that strip of metal to tuck in the left edge of the steering column grommet. I am guessing there is one on each side to accomodate RH and LH dri

Hi Bob, Geo I don't know if they serve a different purpose on a TR3A but on any of my saloon cars they would have a black plastic boot on them and then support a part of the wiring harness! I note fr
