I have an original TR4A fuek pump I'd like to rebuild. I saw in the moss online catalog that the rebuild kit does not include the rubber gasket for the diaphragm shaft. Is this true? Mine is ruined a

You could try TRF, P/N RFK1400, their catalogue says "comes with shaft oil seal not included with kits from other suppliers". I rebuilt one last year and it seemed to have all I needed. You could try

I agree that it probably does not do a lot, but I think the oil seal does serve two functions. 1) It still does tend to keep engine oil in the engine. There is a small port on the engine side of the

Think I also saw that on a Land Rover site... but then in a pinch those guys have been known to make headgaskets out of newspapers (Nairobi Times) and condensors out of chewing gum foil. Not recommen

I'll agree the seal is non-essential. I believe it's mostly a backup to the diaphragm, so that when (not if) the diaphragm starts to leak, the fuel runs mostly out the weep hole rather than into the
