I may be wrong (often am) but did someone suggest that you could stiffen the springs by cutting an inch off? Is it that simple? I have an extra set and the means to get them cut. Anything more I nee

Yes, the springs are stiffened by about the same percent as the amount you remove. Almost. One other thing you need to do: the ends of the springs were ground flat, so you will need to do the same in
