Joe, Not likely that it is merely the connection. If it were, your problem would be intermittant since the connection would come and go. Sounds more like the coil is grounding internally. Try anothe

Joe, Okay, if you can pretty much rule out a problem in the coil, try by-passing the switch by going from positive side of battery to the coil. You can start the car with remote starter switch or by

Joe, when a wire breaks internally (this is called "open" as opposed to a "short") it is usually at a high stress area. The first thing to try is cut off the end at the coil, go back 1/2 inch or so
