Jack, I believe you are refering to the vinyl trims that are glued to the top edge of the door. This is actually a seperate piece from the door panel and was changed to a flush piece in '74. The '74

Very simple...just order a set of door finishers (that's what they are called--and they are separate from the door panel itself) for a '74 or later TR6. The door finisher is flat since the door pull

As another lister pointed out, the capping strip/door pull is a separate part from the door trim and can be removed (it is only glued on and most of them fall off anyway). My car (69 TR6) came withou
