I'm no professional, and this certainly isn't an expert opinion, but FWIW I agree with Bob, the most likely explanation is that the valve guides are a little tight, and a valve temporarily hung up. I

Couple Points; I have a 73 TR6 that the PO had rebuilt the engine. He had the head completely redone same as yours complete with a new rocker arm assembly. Looking at it I see that the end most arms
