Have thought a lot about the TR6 / stereo issue myself. Mine is mounted in the glovebox - an old fashioned tape deck with a converter to an iPod. The sound quality isn't great via the ancient speaker

Most stereo decks these days have an input for the break light, where it will automatically lower the volume while sitting at a light. So unless you are a left foot breaker and drag your breaks a lot
