Thats right, the bezels changed to chrome in '73, the illumination changed to green, and the needles on the small instruments pivot from the bottom instead of the top. -- William Davies 1975 TR6 PI

This thread got me curious, so I examined the instrument bezels on my car (74 1/2) a bit more closely. A most interesting experience: the edges of the bezels are chrome, while the inner, conical port

All those pieces are between flat and satin. The closet commericial paint I've found is Rust O-elum 7777 Satin black. It is really close to what my original paint looked like. I thought all the TR-6

Additional paint recommendation....Eastwoods Chassis Black. Good, durable satin finish that is epoxy based. Used in on my 250 steering wheel...looks magnificent. IMHO Larry M TR250 in Colorado
