I'm not familiar with either the TR6 or the J-Type, but I know that on the TR3/4/4A, there are at least two different crossmembers (the part that bolts to the frame and that the mount itself bolts to

Phil, check the bracket configurations in the most recent Moss catalog(ue) on page 82. You made need the angle bracket that bolts to the bracket on the bushings, if that makes any sense. Wish I could

I recently converted my '74 TR6 (CF16107U, built December, 1973) to a J-type overdrive. I used the same crossmember (the one with the rear rubber gearbox mounts) to attach it, but had to do 2 things:
