I test drove a 1980 Corvette some years back and the car was a slug. TR8s, even with their anemic little V8, were a lot more responsive than the Corvettes of that era. Frankly, the TR-8 is a slug too

As I recall there were plenty of bolt-on hop up items available for the Buik/Pontiac/Olds 215 CID engines, including a Turbo. No reason that a TR8 couldn't be pretty potent. All it takes is cubic mon
