If there are currently (no pun intended) two turns of wire in the 'loop' on the back of the tach, try reducing the number of turns by one and see how that does for you. Regards, Glen Byrns '59 bugey

Reomve the housing. On the inside is a variable resistor pot with a screw head slot. Turn it to adjust. I've since bored a hole in the back of the housing so as to allow adjustment while wired up. J

Hello Jeff, ok.. so how do you remove the housing.. i had the tach out of the dash.. saw the four little screws... undid them.. and the housing was still there?!... step by step on that part... PLEAS

Remove tach from dash. Twist and remove chrome bezel Gently pry off glass (use a razor blade to break the seal if it's still sealed) Turn tach over (face on table) Remove the 2 screws on the back of

The chrome ring on the face of the tach has several tabs that must be aligned to slots in the front lip of the housing. Turn the ring so that the tabs line up, and pull the ring away from the housin

Thanks toall that responded to my plea. The tach is disassembled, reassembled with hole, and reassembled( with some clear RTV to seal the face). The hole makes it easy( easier than some) to calibrate
