Don't buy into the tapered bearing mythology. A very good argument can be made as to why angular contact ball bearings are better, beyond the fact they are original. I'm not smart enough to make that

I gotta agree with you there. I also looked at the fact that MiniMania sells the tapered bearing kits for $99 each side of the car. Ouch. I do believe that it would be easier to find quality tapered
