Entirely possible... There were some 948 castings that had the sensor port in the head. I think they were "S" heads. The '62 Midget I had last year was that way. See engine photo at the bottom of th

If this should be true, This lends credo to some of the other odd "tunage" on this car. Like the Hurst shifter. Anyone else have one of those? I plan on keeping mine when i swap trannys. -Ryan Irwin

Ryan, Not on the block the head!!! You can tell a 948 without even opening the bonnet. Take a flashlight and look behind the left front wheel, inside the triangle cut out section you can read 950 on
