Hate to be the bearer of sad tidings, but I was looking for one for over a year before I found one. Even at the big Carlisle swap meet, I could not find one. As to what it is called, I have no idea,

I'll answer my own question. I called Paul Dierschow of Sports Car Craftsmen here in Denver this a.m. Here's what I found out. The "thingy" is an "adapter, temperature gauge" Moss number 361-065. But
