Hi Larry, Wasn't there also a chronic overheating problem on these engines that led to bore plating failure? The V-8's I understand were something else again to change some of the spark plugs. Whoops

The Vega was the only car I know of that would rust in So. Cal, even when garaged. Made Fiats look absolutely robust by comparison. I've been to Patrick's place and peered over the neighbor's fence.
