When we are talking about "thin wall", just what are we referring to? Oil sump flange? Cylinder bore? Can a thin wall not be bored out as much as a later 1275? Inquiring minds need to know!--Bob C in

And well you should ask, Bob.... The early ('67) 1275 blocks had a relatively "thin" lower engine "flange" where the sump mounts. Later engines had a "thicker" flange for more strength. That flange w

I am running 2 thin wall 1275s. I do NOT baby either of them. No problems. It must also be thinner at the front wall too because the waterpump needs the shallow impeller. thinner, lighter, faster! --
