I was just looking at latest HOT Rod Mags article on spark plug wires and notice the little hoes in the headers about an inch from the flange. Trying to figure out the reason for them, could looking

Well I guess I would have considered that except they appeared to be about 1/8 " in diameter and burned in their with a torch instead of drilled, don't most exhaust temp probes screw into the header?

Nah, a lot of them are held on with hose clamp type devices. The thermocouple "bung" is attached to the clamp and then the probe is inserted and the clamp tightened around the header pipe. mayf -- Or
