- 1275 setup will work. Just need to countersink the bottom 2 bolts on the front engine plate so the chain doesn't rub. APT has an inexpensive adjustable dual chain setup for this conversion. Paul A

- Better yet, see if APT's 1275 belt drive (with the Kevlar belt) can be made to work on a 1098. Peacefully quiet and absorbs a bit of crank vibration to boot. Cap'n. Bob '60 :{)
