Anyone remember the Hunter brand tire/wheel balancing machines of the 50s, 60s? Did they work well and are there any units out there. I remember them being used to balance wheels and tires on the car

AFAIK, Hunter has always made quality equipment at a commensurate price. They still make the on-car balancer (although it's used primarily for big trucks and whatnot). Check out their website at htt

I used a Hunter on the car balancer when I managed a service station (remember those?) in the '70s and '80s. It worked great, but it was designed to be used on a lift. I suppose that shouldn't matter
