Yes, they will fit. The rear tires may rub a little on the inside of the fender well during spirited driving though. A panhard bar will help quite a bit or a little bit of wheel spacer will do it. Ke

Standard Spridget wire spoked wheels are 4". You are constrained by using an inner tube with the tyre. A 155 tyre is a sensible limit and with 4" wire wheels anything else will give you problems one

I have been very pleased with 165/70 The rolling radius of these is very close to original and they fit without any poblems of rubbing ob the wheel arches (square rear arches) Guy original but brands

Daniel and Guy, Thanks for the quick responses! Ideally, I'd eventually like to convert to lug mount wheels in a 13x6 or so. But, until I have the surplus cash and time to do this, it's a back-burner

yes, 145s were stock and the widest I would go is 165/70 on your narrow rim. This size is a good upgrade from stock on any kind of stock Spridget rim. Once you go to wider rims, you are limited by t

No Daniel, you are right. Mine are late pressed steel wheels, and are 4 1/2" rims which were fitted to the later 1500 models. Wires and earlier Rostyles were all 4" rims, and 155 is the widest recomm
