I have replaced 2 tops on my B. I decided to use the stow-away frame instead of the fold-away model. With this frame there is no provision for attaching the top to the bows. I don't get any flapping.

I have an old hood that was a bit flappy. Remounting the hood frame bolts to the correct height from the chassis helped a lot. If you want I can get the measurement (The longest serving MG mechanic/
