What's the trick to getting the header seal into the track on the soft and/or hard top? Its taken me about 30 minutes to get 3 inches worked into the groove and then it slipped out when I was working

I just got a new seal in my small goodie-package from Spitbits and will be installing it in the next day or so. At present my soft-top has NO seal whatsoever. With the top closed and latched, it bows

Where did you get your seal,and what car is it for? (MK-I,II, III, 1500?) I bought a seal from TRF for my 1500 and a seal for the older style was substiteted,I could not get it in.I ended up returni

The rain water used to pour into my car at the junction of the soft top and the windshield header. So way back when my Spitfire was still new I added another piece of weather stripping along the top
