I don't know exactly which car you have but yes, there is a rubber seal. From my own experience with Convertible Midgets, I can tell you it is mounted in a metal/aluminum? channel that it pop-rivete

Somehow I managed to have a new seal laying around the garage. At one time I ordered a bunch of seals, and it turned out that seal was one of them. It's a pain in the buttocks to get the top closed n

Go to any auto parts store, buy (NOT TAIWAN) wiper inserts 20" or longer, cut them down to fit, you now have 4 refills for about $5. Or you can buy 3 from the regular suppliers at 8 or 9 bucks each,
