Ford lost the rights to the GT40 name through lack of use. They call the new one just GT because the guys who own the name tried to milk them for millions of dollars to get it back.

Ford Racing sells "GT40 aluminum heads" in their 2005 catalog. Also in their 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 catalogs. They need to hire better lawyers. Curtis -- Original message --
