Go with the two axle, the advantage of the extra wheel / tire is safety. The total weight is going to require brakes anyway. It's also easier to balance the roadster on the trailer. Since /// unsubs

Jim, The tandem trailer would be more stable, safer in the event of a tire failure, and less tongue weight sensitive. It's probably a good idea to have a little longer trailer than you think you need

One final comment..... You might want to check out Jim-Glo tilt trailers (they have a web-site) It is a 2-torsion axle trailer. They are perfect if you have a low, low car with little or no clearance
