I have a question about the tranny mounts on my 74 Midget. Moss showes three mounts, two side and one center. Mine has only the two side mounts with a metal strap going over the top of the trany tail

Never seen this, sounds like definite DPO. Can't imagine the purpose for this unless the side mounts are deteriorated or detached. The center insulator, I believe, sits in an inverted "V" flange. You

the trany tail shaft. Is this a normal set up or what? My Sprite-Midget manual shows this strap on later cars. It shows an insulator between the strap and the shaft that I imagine could be fabricate
