I think what happened was that after Rootes ran out of the first allocation of engines they had ordered from Ford, they must have ordered more. My guess is that the first batch were painted black an

If I read the BON correctly; your original engine date code should be B19KC. Therefore any Tiger with an engine having a B19KC date code is probably painted blue. This engine date code is first list

TBON does not state how many engines are in each date code and the listings are too incomplete to make an accurate determination. This information is probably in the Jensen records but I don't know
