Mine has had the same noise for years. It is the throw out bearing on the clutch shaft. Someday it will probably go out. John

My vote is for the throw-out bearing. Don't worry about it until you need to pull the transmission for some other reason. BTW, this sound is usually worse when the weather is cold if it's the throw-
