Not sure if anyone has had this difficulty removing brake pistons, but since TRF can't seem to rebuild my rt caliper after 2 FAILED attempts, I've been trying to break down an extra 16P caliper. Well

I had success by having my shop weld a large nut to the piston and then torque it with a socket and breaker bar. Your approach was similar and I'm glad you had success. Andy TR250 Mini Cooper S Conv

I redid my calipers per Nelson's write-up, and I used a kit from TRF. It contained the "seal" for the caliper halves. The original seal was not an O-ring, but a square profile. I torqued per Nelson'
