it is very possible to pull the spark plugs with out taking the engine out. What i would recomend is getting a spark plug socket that has a hex on the outside so you are able to put a wrench on the

Casey's right Plugs are a piece of cake. The #8 (driver's side back) is reached via the access plugs inside the foot well. Only one rule: The engine must be cold. Should take about an hour for all 8.

As I remember from years ago there is an easy way to reattach the arms and a hard way. I think the easy way that uses much greater leverage was unbolting from the car rather than from the trunk lid.
