To All, Would someone please recommend an easy way to disengage the trunk lid springs? Last time I did this which was years ago. I seem to recall having nearly lost some teeth in the process. Thanks,

Unbolt the arm from the trunk lid. Grab the arm and move it slowly to remove the tension from the spring. I use a hose clamp around the arm on the opposite side to keep that arm from folding up. One

Works the same way when putting the spring back. Use the hook on the end of the arm the arm as a lever. Have a couple of bolts ready when the mounting plate is in position. Dave
