- To All, Would someone please recommend an easy way to disengage the trunk lid springs? Last time I did this which was years ago. I seem to recall having nearly lost some teeth in the process. Thanks,

- Unbolt the arm from the trunk lid. Grab the arm and move it slowly to remove the tension from the spring. I use a hose clamp around the arm on the opposite side to keep that arm from folding up. One

- Works the same way when putting the spring back. Use the hook on the end of the arm the arm as a lever. Have a couple of bolts ready when the mounting plate is in position. Dave
