I am replacing rear spring front shackle pins. I was reminded to also order the steel spacer. The spacer has a reverse cone or indent in one side. 1. Which way does it face? Towards nut or frame? 2.

Don, the conical side faces the frame to allow clearance for the fillet in the pin where it changes diameters. These pins are tapered steel pins. You can see the old ones when everything is super cle

The pins are steel taper pins. They are difficult to remove and you will need to get the chassis member really clean to find the ends. Unless you are very lucky you will have to drill out the old ta
