Go to your local auto parts store and look in the electrical section for battery stuff. Most auto parts stores sell the j-bolts in various lengths. Or just buy them too long and cut off what you don

per Hugh.. er.. Allen... I did the same thing except that for the cross-piece I used a piece of plastic plumbing pipke with one side cut out so it would fit over the top edge of the battery and stay

I thought about this, but the way the battery is situated in the 1500, with the posts to the front, the angle IRON comes awfully clost to the posts, and I am afraid the angle iron will short circuit

Yea they supposed to have a 26, but get a 51. They fit better, same width, but not as deep. You definitely need a tie down after that. And you can drop it in and take it out WITHOUT removing the bonn
