- That may actually be U-Haul policy, I've been told the same thing. It's apparently also their policy not to rent a trailer or dolly to you unless you show up with a tow vehicle capable of handling it

- U-Haul is the only national company that rents towing equipment independent of truck rentals <<< Perhaps it's recently changed, or the local dealers don't do as they're told (Nah, couldn't be that !)
