Brad, this looks similar to the "Irv Korey mod". On Irv's TR-4 (later suspension) they have done something almost identical to your picture. They don't have the upper reinforcement, and they cut the

I can't view your image link for some reason, but the modification sounds kind of like the one I did to my TR3. Moving the pivot point inwards towards the center moves the roll center upwards as well
